Facebook Pages Manager now available in the U.S. and UK

Published on 01/09/2013 by in News

Android Central

The Facebook Pages Manager application for Android launched initially last week. Sort of. While the app was no doubts in the Google Play Store, it wasn’t actually available in a number of countries around the world, including the U.S. and the UK. As of today, the app is showing an update in the Play Store, but still remains on Version 1.0, but is now available in the U.S Play Store and in the UK too.

Facebook Pages Manager does exactly what it says on the box. In much the same way the Facebook application enables users to manage their personal profiles, Pages Manager does the same for page admins. Looking through the Play Store comments though, there does seem to be an issue with the notifications — reports suggest that you simply can’t just turn them off permanently. In any case, if this is something you’ve been waiting on, grab yourselves a copy from the Play Store link above.

Thanks droid4g32!

Facebook Pages Manager For Android Finally Installable In US, UK, And Everywhere Else The Play Store Is Available

Published on 01/09/2013 by in News

A few days ago, Facebook quietly released its Pages Manager app for Android to the Play Store. The app, which had been making iOS-toting page managers’ lives easier for quite some time, was a welcome addition, save for one thing: it could only be installed in Australia, Canada, and New Zealand, leaving US users in the dark.

It appears that’s changed today. The Pages Manager app, in an update too small to warrant a change log, opened up to those in the US.

A refreshing sight for international page managers

Facebook hasn’t released an official announcement regarding Pages Manager, so we don’t have official confirmation that the app has launched globally.

Facebook pages manager app for Android launches, sort of

Facebook Pages Manager

Looks like Facebook might finally be about to make available its “Facebook Pages Manager” application for Android, which, as the name implies, will let those with Facebook Pages manage said pages with the app. It’s sitting there in Google Play, only we can’t download it yet in the states. And neither can our pals in the UK.

The app’s description reads:

Manage all the Pages you admin, wherever you are. Helps Facebook Page admins connect with their audience and keep up with activity on multiple Pages.

  • Post new updates and photos and respond to comments as your Pages
  • View and reply to private messages sent to your Page
  • Get notifications about new activity on your Pages right away
  • View your latest Pages Insights

A few people have managed to leave star ratings, and a couple of (not so helpful) reviews. For our part, the listing shows it’s incompatible with every one of our devices, so this is pretty much a placeholder at the moment.

Figure an announcement is coming any time now.

Do You Wonder What’s In A Wunderlist Update? It’s A New UI, Smart To-Do Lists, Push Notifications And More

Published on 12/18/2012 by in News

wunderlisttinyWhile Astrid may be one of the leading to-do lists on Android, there is a considerable amount of innovation to be done in the world of keeping track of things that need doing. Apparently! Enter Wunderlist, an app that Matt liked well enough, but couldn’t quite manage to make him keep coming back. Perhaps today’s update will change his mind, though, as it brings a host of new features such as improvements to the UI, push notifications, Smart lists, and a better widget.

The previous iteration of this app had a nice-looking wooden background but, that aside, it still used the old Gingerbread-style tabs to switch sections.
